Orville Wright
The wright Brothers. People We think of as " Oh, they just invented the modern airplane. There isn't any other really important things about them". Well, you might think that, but there is truly a great variety of things about them that you most likely didn't know. I, however will just be exploring the life of Orville Wright. We will delve into the fascinating history of how he, and his older brother Wilbur, developed the first airplane. I will begin with the early years of his career then move on to details about the plane. Then finish with some fun facts from Orville's life.
Now, like I said, we are going to start with the early years for Orville. Orville Wright was born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 19, 1871, to Susan and Milton Wright. Orville also had four siblings, Reuchlin, Lorin, Kathrine, and you guessed it, Wilbur. Orville and Wilbur were named after Orville Dewey and Wilbur Fisk, who were clergymen there father adored. When the Wright brothers ere young, they received a toy flying machine that they named "Bat". It was this toy that inspired their passion for aviation. The young Wrights played with the toy so much that it broke, witch made the boys ask themselves " Why won't it fly?" They all the time when they were not at school or working on homework building tis so called "Big Bat". They spent a lot of time working on this "Big Bat", so much we are going to fast forward a bit to the day they launched it. One of the Wrights let go of this flying machine while the other twisted it. The Wrights let go of the flying machine and it flew up for about two seconds, then fell straight to the ground. Their mother, Susan, said that they should continue trying to make an airplane. Wilbur simply said " No, mother, we do not know enough about flying machines. Also Orville and I do not have enough money."
We now go to Wilbur and Orville's bike shop. Wright Cycle Company, and learn about what they did there. Wright Cycle Company was established in 1892, providing many bicycles to the world of the late 1800's and the early 1900's Every penny they made there funded the production of the plane. The bike shop also provided good education for plane building, mechanical skills, and business experience.
Let's move on to a different topic: Orville and the plane The plane prototype was having a difficult time steering. Orville was the one who managed to fix this problem. I found it really entertaining how he solved this problem. One night, he had way too many cups of coffee, couldn't sleep, and stayed up all night figuring out the problem. Orville, however, was not the one who completed the first flight. To decide who piloted, Orville and Wilbur flipped a coin and Orville lost. Orville was also involved in a terrible plane crash in 1908. Photographer W.S. Clime said "There was a crack like a pistol shot above. I saw a piece of a propeller blade twirling off southward. For a brief period it kept on it's course, then swerved to the left and with a swoop backwards it fell for halve the distance to the ground." The next year, 1909, Orville went on a flight with Lieutenant Frank Lahm as passenger, for a world record of one hour and twelve minuets.
Now my last topic is just going to be some random fact's about Orville. Did you know that Orville played the mandolin? Or that when the Wright Company was created Wilbur was the President and Orville the vice president? Well, now you do. Orville was also pretty good at making biscuits and candies. Orville lived to be 76 years old, passing away on January 30, 1948. He also helped start the career of African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar.
Orville was a very interesting person to study. I was really amazed to learn all the things he did to help the first plane in the air. It was also fascinating to learn some of the personal fact's about him, like playing the mandolin. One of my favorite fact's about him was that he fixed the steering problem because he had too much coffee. I hope you enjoyed learning about Orville Wright as much as I did.

Mary Anning
By: Frances
Welcome, today i'm going to tell you and maybe show you all about Mary Anning, and the fossils she found! Did you know that even dinosaur hair can be preserved and harded and considered a fossil! Very cool, right? A fossil also remains evidence of a once living dino on earth!
And now, we will talk about Mary Anning. Mary was an unlikely paleontologist, especially unlikely for England in the early 1800's. Mary and her brother worked side, to side along the seaside cliffs near their home, their father had taught them to sopt treasures in the layers of limestone and shale. What Mary didn't have was education, Mary also had the time nor the money for school, selling the fossils she'd collected helped her family have food on the table. One fossil at a time. One meal at a time. It was Mary's brother who found a skull in the cliff side. he worked a little, but gave up. mary took over. First, she unearths vertebrae. Next ribs. Then flippers, and finally a long tail. Grand and educated men set out to identify Mary's creature. Then men eventually named this discovery "Ichthyosaur" and proudly claimed their new knowledge in aricles, books, and sermons. Mary copied the illustrations to learn the technique of cataloging bones and reporting discoveries. She taught herself anotomy by disecting squid and cuttlefish on her kitchen table, very interesting, right? Little by little, lesson by lesson, an uneducated girl from a poor family becoming a scientist. More rich folks, scientists, collectors, and geoligists purchased mary's fossils and brought them to museums and universities to be studied and displayed. One bone led to another. and another. And another! This is no Ichthyosaur! It had a long neck, and very long neck, A tiny head, and paddles. Mary worked for months to release this odd fossil from the rocky seaside cliffs, the men debated a long time, and finally concluded that Mary's bones were from one very real, very new species. They named it "Plesiosaur" Mary kept learning on her own.
Next, she discovered a diamond shaped tail. Claws and a beak and wings! She had discovered on of the first "pterosaurs". Mary's Ichthyosaurs, Plesiosaur, and now Pterosaur suddenly inspired new theories about life on earth long ago. These fossils and prehistoric life. They were forming a brand new science paleontology. But two-hundred years later, Mary Anning is reconized as the first paleontologist. One fossil at a time, ond discovery at a time.
I hope you are enjoying this very cool learning about Mary Anning! Mary found and sold fossilized "seashells", including many ammonites, one of which she sold for enough money to feed her family for a whole week. But her more important discoveries were one of the fossils' of the larger prehistoric creatures, beginning with the Ichthyosaur. The cliffs of the Jurassic seashore, where Mary lived, were underwater when prehistoric creatures populated the earth two hundred million years ago. Ichthyosaur means "fish lizard" by the way. The word "dinosaur" hav'ent been invented yet. The men had made an anouncement that shocked the world, Mary's finds wasn't just old. It was a million years old! Their declaration shattered the commonly held beleif that the earth was only six thousand years old. Also, no one had realized that a species could become extinct until they studied the remains of a creature that no longer walked the earth. Over the years Mary also found many odd, dark, lumpy pebbles inside skeletons. She examined them. Reread her notes. Studied her drawings. Mary figured out what they were! Except it was something a lady should'nt talk about.... She proclaimed theses stones, known as bezoars, were actually fossilized poop! Geoligisted sneered. Scientists scoffed.
Then they took a closer look, and realized she was right! Mary's discovery helped scholars learn more about what ancient creatures are. She also found many long, thin, cone-shaped fossil-shaped fossils. Ordinary, at least on the outside. Curious, she cut one open. Tucked inside was a small pocket filled with a thick, dark substance. Mary was even more curious now! Adding a few drops of water turned the substance into....ink! Mary's discovery proved that ancient aquatic creatures squirted ink to hide themselves from hungry predators! When Mary was twenty-four, she made another interesting discovery. This creature didn't have legs or flippers, it had wings! She had unearthed an flying reptile called a pterosaur. Scientists all over the world were talking about Mary's discoveries. Even though Mary could identify a species from a single bone and later could rebuild the entire skeleton like a jigsaw puzzle, she couldn't join the Geological society of Londen. Women were not allowed. She couldn't attend lectures or teach university classes. Or even take classes! Just like long-buried fossils, Mary's achievements have slowly been uncovered and shared with the world.
Her daring discoveries helped form Paleontology- the branch of geology that uses fossils to study prehistoric life. And she did it all with a homemade hammer, a chisel, and a never-ending quest to fearlessly keep exploring, and learning. My favorite thing to talk about is the fossils she found. I hope you enjoyed this very cool journey about Mary Anning!

Do you know how to get to platform 9 3/4? Well if you don't, read the books and watch the movies. Then you will know how to get to platform 9 3/4. Do you have a favorite Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans? Platform 9 3/4 and Berties Bott's Every Flavor Beans were all created by one person, J.K. Rowling
J.K. Rowling was called Jo since she was little. Jo was born on July 31, 1965. Two years later cshe got a little sister named Di. In a fight Jo threw a battery at Di leaving a scar just above her eyebrow.
J.K. Rowling loved to write, but she was afraid no one wanted to buy her stories. One weekend Jo took a trip to Manchester. on the train trip she stared out the window thinking of nothing and suddenley a picture of a boy popped into her head. When she got home, she found a pen and she wrote the boy with the lightning bolt scar. His name is Harry Potter. In Jo's free time she loved to write about Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger's adventures.
She started to write the three chapters of Harry Potter. Jo sent the chapters to a publisher for authors. It took twelve tries to publish! In June 1997, the first book was published, Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone.Jo's book would be sold for over one million dollars! The owner was afraid to spend this much on the book, but he knew that people in America would love it just as much as he did.
I think she was an inspiring person because she helped so may people in her life. She worked really hard to get her books published. I love how in her books it gets closer, and closer to the end of the mystery. I think she inspires a lot of people to write like her.

Annie Oakley
by: Emerson
My real name is Phoebe Ann Moses, but you can call me Annie Oakley. Even though I came from humble beginnings, I became the best sharpshooter around!
I was born in Ohio on August 13, 1860, in Ohio. Sadly, my dad died when I was five, leaving my mom poor with 6 kids. She remarried twice and had more children, but I had to live at the county poorhouse for several years. I didn’t get to go to school, so I learned to read and write as an adult. We were so hungry, one day I took my dad’s old gun and shot a rabbit for dinner. Turns out, I was a natural! I was so good, I sold small game to the local grocery store who resold the meat to hotels and restaurants in Cincinnati 80 miles away! I was so successful at hunting; I was able to pay my mom’s $200 mortgage at just 15 years old!
It was quickly discovered that I was talented enough to try my hand at competition shooting. Jack Frost, a hotel owner who often purchased my meat, invited me to a shooting contest against Frank E. Butler, who was known for doing tricks with his guns. I was only 16 years old at the time, but I beat him! I hit 25 out of 25 attempts, but Frank missed one, so he only got 24 out of 25 attempts. He was so smitten with me and my shooting skills, we ended up getting married August 23, 1876.
I met Chief Sitting Bull in 1884, and he really took a liking to me. He treated me like a daughter and is the one who gave me the nickname “Little Sure Shot”, due to my small stature and surprising accuracy. I was pretty small at only 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, but that didn’t stop me from being successful! Frank and I joined Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show in 1885 and traveled the world. I got to be the star of the show and featured on all of the advertising posters! I learned how to sew as a child at the poorhouse, so I made all of my own costumes for the show. I even performed for Queen Victoria of England! Some of my famous acts included shooting a rifle over my shoulder using a hand mirror to see behind me, splitting playing cards in half along the edge while in midair and then filling the card with holes before it hit the ground, and shooting moving targets while riding a horse in a dress. I also shot corks out of bottles and glass balls out of the air. Another fun fact about me is I often gave lessons and taught many women how to shoot a gun properly.
After I died in 1926 at 66 years old, I continued to be quite famous! People wrote comics and books about me, created a TV show based off my wild west character, and even wrote a play called “Annie Get Your Gun”. It is so fun to see that my legacy has lived on!

Albert Einstein
From life to laboratory: an informational document about the world’s greatest scientist;
By Gabe
Hello! I am researching Albert Einstein, the world’s greatest scientist. Today we will be talking about his discoveries, fame, and life.
It all started on March 14th, 1879; the day Albert Einstein was born. Einstein was born in Ulm, a town in Germany. He died at age 76. Einstein’s last words were spoken in German to a nurse who did not understand the language and thus are shrouded in mystery.1
Aside from that, I would like to point out that Einstein was in the “e” section in world book.2 He was also on Wikipedia.1 He was so famous that his brain was preserved by doctors.3
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new” -Albert Einstein3
Einstein’s inventions and creations are Avogadro's Number, Brownian movement, Quantum theory of light, General theory of relativity, Special theory of relativity, The Photoelectric effect, Wave-Particle duality, the relationship between mass and energy Bose-Einstein condensate, and many, many, many more.4
I am a major fan of what Albert Einstein did. I hope you are too, because if you want to research more about him, here are the sources I used:

Meghan Trainer
She's all about positivity! By: Grace
To get to know her, you should know...
Meghan Trainor is a pop sensation who makes sure all girls feel like they matter. With a flawless balance of sassy pop ballads and encouraging social posts, Meghan, whom I most likely will call “Meggy” somewhere in here, will probably end up saving girls all over with her Don’t-hate-yourself-okay? vibes, and I absolutely love her music, I’ve loved her music since before I was old enough to know what any of it meant.
In contrast, may I say that influencers tend to make girls feel horrible about themselves because all girls look at nowadays is people being little human stick bugs??? These influencers often promote unrealistic body standards that can lead to feelings of inadequacy and shame among young girls. Meghan Trainor's music offers a refreshing counter-narrative, encouraging girls to love their bodies just the way they are and reject these harmful ideals.
But moving on to little meggy!
Meghan started singing at a very young age, as she did not wish to have any formal music training, so she just winged it! She was in a cover band made up of her family members called Island Fusion, which, if you ask me, sounds more like a Pina Colada than a cover band, but whatever. Anyway, she did the whole Island Fusion thing until she was twelve when she started using GarageBand to make her compositions. She began writing songs for others to sing by eighteen. She didn’t like her figure and the fact that she was one of the girls who had a thicker body type (sorry if that’s offensive, Meggy) and she was discouraged by this, but that quickly changed and she said “Nah to the Ah to the No No No” to her self hatred (that was a quote from Meghan’s hit song “No”) and she absolutely dominated the stage after she got a record deal with Epic Records’ own L.A. Reid! After all that, you can thank her Mom for supporting her through all of it! She says in her song “Mom” that “You might have a mom, she might be the bomb but ain’t nobody got a mom like mine.”
Music Career
Meghan was, as I mentioned, in a cover band that consisted of some of her family members called Island Fusion (again, Pina Colada), and she had played Bob Marley and all sorts of other stuff, but more importantly, they played Meghan’s compositions, so the world got a taste of Meghan before she even started writing lyrics, which she began at eighteen, even though that wasn’t very successful, and she wrote her song “Give Me A Chance” to pass the time, which gave her the idea to go to a music conference. There she meets former NRBQ employee Al Anderson, and he liked her music and personality in general, so he referred her to his boss, Carla Wallace, and Carla pointed her in the vague direction of Epic Records, so Meggy tried to find someone to sing her song, “All About That Bass” for the chairmen, but no one could or would or wanted to, and so Meggy had to sing it herself over a recording from the studio. L.A. Reid, the chairman who was reviewing the recording, sent for Meggy the same day he heard her, and according to an interview, she had no cell phone in the waiting room to distract herself and was so nervous that she could’ve sworn she may have hurled on the floor at any given moment. L.A Reid gave Meghan a record label that proved she could do practically anything music related and also boosted her confidence.
Marriage and Motherhood
Meghan Married Daryl Sabara, who played Juni Cortez in his most famous act, “Spy Kids,” whom some of you may recognize him from. They then had two kids who were soon named Riley and Barry. So far, Riley is 4 and Barry is 1 and 8 months, and the parade won’t stop there since she’s planning to have four kids, at least! (so she says) Meghan has said Daryl has measured up to all of the things she said in “Dear Future Husband” Like you would expect, pregnancy wasn’t easy, but thanks to that we now have a book written by her, called Dear Future Mama, a guide to how to handle pregnancy and tiny children.
Outroduction
This go-getter gal is the queen of self-positivity, so it's best to take it all as a reminder that not only is everyone worthy of praise, but everyone can also get it thanks to us considerate kids. The future of us starts now, so we had all better get out there and let everyone know they’re all equally loved.
Good Luck Changing the World, my friends!

Charles Darwin he is an interesting guy first of he made the theory of Evolution and his taste of exotic food let's talk about it so Charles Darwin Known for his adventurous spirit, he was a fan of exotic food, including armadillos, iguanas, pumas and giant tortoises, he famously declared a 20 pound rodent to be ‘the best meat I ever tasted’ he was a member of the ‘Glutton club’. and his theory he was famous for his theory of evolution by natural selection, which revolutionized our understanding of the natural world and is the foundation of modern evolutionary Biology.
So, he had a lot of kids like 10 kids sadly his first Daughter died he was devastated by her death by tuberculosis ate age 10, his second daughter Mary lived for only 23 days, the Darwin's last child Charles waring born when Emma was 48 years old, was a down syndrome baby who died of scarlet fever at 18 months old.
He was born in shrew bury, England his father, a doctor, had high hopes that his son would earn a medical degree at Elinburg university in Scotland. Charles Darwin, known for this theory of evolution, grew his beard at age 56, possibly as a deliberate effort to disguise himself. Charles Darwin dropped out of med school at the University of Edinburgh because he was deeply uncomfortable with the brutality of surgery and the sight of blood, as well as feeling little interest in medical practice.
He was religious and had some views evolved over time, starting with belief in God as first cause. His last words were ‘I am not the least afraid of death remember me tell all of my children to remember how good they have been good to me,’ last sentence, he also sadly died in 1882 at age 73 with symptom of ischæmic and cardiac failure, Although less, he still had episodic nausea and vomiting,
Charles Darwin's visit to the Galapagos Island in 1835 while on HMS profoundly influenced his development of the theory of evolution by natural selection. I hope you like it thank you to the people on the internet.

Mike Tyson
By: Dylan
Hey, you there my name is Mike Tyson, and today I shall be telling you about my life, my famous fights, and some random facts.
Anyway, let's talk about my life, when I was a kid my life was hard I mean my dad went to go get the milk when I was only two, talk about bad dad, moving on, being born in Brownsville Brooklyn, my life involved lots of bullying, petty crimes, and a lack of positive role models. Everything changed when I went to Tyron school for boys in Newyork, at the reform school I met Bobby Stewart, a former boxer that was also a counselor and Bobby recognized my potential.
That is enough Mike Tyson lore, now let's talk about my famous fights, fight number one, me vs Buster Douglas, was a crazy fight with me losing to Douglas by knockout and that fight was one of the biggest uproars in sports history. Fight number two, did you know in 1997 during my rematch with Evander Holyfield I bite off his ear, fun fact is tasted like cherry. Fight number three, in my fight with Larry Holmes, I barraged Holmes with a series of devastating combos until eventually hitting the winning blow. Fight number four, one of my fastest knockouts is when I fought Micheal Spinks, I knocked that man out in 91 seconds.
Hmm how about some facts and know you don’t have a choice, fact one, people think my net worth is around 20 million, but you will never know. Fact two, by the age of 13 I committed over 30 petty crimes “muahahah!” My most money-making fight was against Lennay Lewis, which made me around 103 million dollars. Well, that's all now shew I have to go fight Jake Paul now.

On April 26, 1986, at the nuclear power plant near the city of Pripyat Ukraine. A safety test went wrong. First, I will tell you what happened, then I will tell you about the Chernobyl disaster itself and last, some fun facts.
Hold on, lets go back a little bit. On April 26, 1986, at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant near the city of Pripyat Ukraine. A late night safety test went wrong, and the world experienced the worst nuclear accident of all time. Dozens were killed immediately and thousands over the ensuing years. The disaster let out more radiation than the nuclear bomb Hiroshima. The divers were to dive through reactor 4 to reach the cooling pools where they were going to drain them before the radioactive liquid hit them and blew up. They were successful. If they hadn’t drained the pools the devastation would have been ten times worse.
Then for some more information about the Chernobyl disaster. The accident was caused by a combination of factors including operators errors, design flaws and a lack of safety. The disaster led to evacuation of Pripyat and vast areas of Belarus. There were long term health effects too including thyroid cancer which starts in your thyroid gland and makes bad tumors.
Now to something less crazy, some fun facts about the diver Valery Bespalov. Valery lives in Kyiv Ukraine. Valery Bespalov is still alive some people think he and the other two died right after, and yes, Boris did die in 2005, but Valery and Oleksiy are still alive. The three men received the hero of Ukraine award after they drained the cooling pools and stopped the accident from blowing up.
I think these men are real heroes. Because all Ukraine and some of Russia would be uninhabitable without their bravery and courage.

Boris Baranok
Nuclear has a lot of meanings, like warfare or chemistry but today I'm here to tell you about nuclear power plants. Disaster strikes in Pripyat, Ukraine at the nuclear power plant Chernobyl.
On April 6th, 1986, a safety test in reactor number 4 triggered the power to drop and then surge by accident. This caused a huge explosion spreading radiation and debris all around the plant. The police and firefighters evacuated people in under a day which was more than Anough time for the radiation to get into your body. Many people never saw their homes again. 4 days after the explosion they discovered a puddle of radioactive water under the reactor and soon scientists realized it would melt through the final safety guards. It would cause a series of explosions and would destroy a lot of Ukraine.
Someone had to do something to save millions of people. The plan was for three people to go down and use the release valves to release the puddle and make sure it didn't melt through the safety guard, but the problem was they still needed to find three people. Soon after that fortunately three people stepped up and their names were Alexei Anenenko, Valeri Bespalov, and Boris Baranov. These people knew there were going to be long term problems or probably death. Alexei Anenenko knew where the release valves were, Valeri Bespalov was an engineer, and Boris Baranov held the light and helped in other ways.
They went down on May 6th, 1986, and they wore basic diving equipment with wetsuits and radiation monitors. The more time the three were down there the more radiation poisoning they would get, so they went as fast as they could, but they knew no matter what they did they would still get a lot of radiation poisoning either way. They released all the water and came back later that day with a completed mission. After, the only side effects the divers got were increased chances of cancer and other diseases. They all lived surprisingly, and Boris Baranov was the only one who has died and that was in 2005 to a heart attack. Soon after the dive, all three of the divers received a high ranked reward called the hero of Ukraine.
So, these three stepped up to save millions with pure bravery, and they went in expecting they wouldn't come back but they defied what everyone thought. They didn't get paid to do this; they fully volunteered without even being asked. And through these actions they saved millions.

NIKOLA TESLA
By: Kane
Today I'm telling you about Nikola tesla some of these facts will blow your mind and I'm happy to tell you about Nikola tesla.
Now, I'll tell you about him and some facts. Nikola tesla was born on July 10th, 1856, and he made inventions that some people use every day. He made the tesla coil, AC, and Moters. Those are only three of his many inventions he made.
Now, let's look at some more inventions and his hobbies. It was said that tesla found interest in poetry, reading, and inventing things and those are a few fascinating hobbies. Nikola tesla made many inventions that includes, the tesla coil like I mentioned earlier, AC generators, and electric circuits and like about 40 more which is a crazy number of inventions.
And now for the mind-blowing facts I promised at the beginning. The first mind blowing fact is that numerous people stated that he could have possibly created the death star and its crazy! Just think about all the remote-control items he made. Another crazy mind-blowing fact is that Nikola tesla fell in love with a white pigeon and if I'm completely honest that's pretty mind blowing in my opinion. And the last fact that is a huge coincidence is that Nikola tesla was born during a lightning storm, and he worked with electricity.
And those reasons are why I like Nikola Tesla and think he is interesting.

Susan B. Anthony
Susan B. Anthony was born on February 15, 1812, in Addams, Massachusetts. She lived up to 86 years old. Did you know that Susan B. Anthony had 7 other siblings? First, I will be talking about early life, next, I will be talking about facts, finally I will be talking about her accomplishments.
Susan grew up in Massachusetts then Susans family moved to New York in 1826. Susan then became a teacher in 1838; she stopped teaching in 1849. Susan then became a reformer, mostly in Rochester, New York.
Next, I will share some facts about Susan. The B. is her middle name and stands for Brownell. Her favorite food is sponge cake. She was also a lifelong friend of Fredrick Douglass.
Not only did Susan B. Anthony fight for women's rights, but she also fought for black people's right to vote. She also fought to end slavery. She accomplished ablation for Americans, and she also accomplished womens property rights.
I feel like she lived a good and full life, and she accomplished so much more than imagined for white women. In my opinion I don't fully agree with all her beliefs, but she was still very fun to research, and she was a really cool person.

Susan B. Anthony’s Life
By Emma
“FIGHTING FOR EQUAL RIGHTS!” said Susan B. Anthony. Susan wanted equality for men and women, but while she was fighting, she got arrested! So, I am going to share her story with you! Why did she fight, how did she die, what happened to her while she was fighting and other things about her life and her! Let's go find out!
Why and How-how did she die? She died of pneumonia and a heart problem at the age of 86 years old! Why did she fight? She believed everyone should have equal rights and that's how she got arrested. Oof! I think I've had enough, let's move on to what happened to her.
What happened-what happened to her when she was fighting? Susan got arrested for illegally voting! Life was hard in the 1820s-1900. Women were not allowed to vote (they were also not allowed to fight in the wars). Let's see if thar are any other things about her and her life.
Others! That will be a lot of random stuff. What does the “B” stand for? The “B” stands for Bronell, she did not like it very much though-I wonder where she died? In her home in Rochester, New York-When was Susan B. Anthony born and when did she die? Born February 15, 1820, death is March 13, 1906-What were the main colors she wore? It was Black. That’s a lot, and...
I learned a lot about Susan B. Anthony. I think it is super sad that she died because of pneumonia but on the other hand she did live long and the last words she said was “I have been striving for over sixty years for a little bit of justice no bigger than that, and yet I must die without obtaining it.” so sad but true.

Brownie Wise
By Evie
Have you ever used those handy plastic containers, like the Tupperware ones that you put your lunch, snack, or whatever you want in? Today, I will be telling you about the fantastic saleswoman Brownie Wise. As you might be wondering, what does she have anything to do with those containers? Well, I guess you’re about to find out!
Brownie Wise was born on May 25, 1913. Her parents named her Brownie May Humphrey, but she later got married and took her husband’s last name. Brownie Wise had a rough life at first. Her parents divorced when she was two, and her mother took care of her. When she was an adult she married, but her husband was quite violent, usually drunk, and an awful person, so after having one child, she divorced. Brownie worked at Stanley Home Products, and eventually, she wanted to work as an executive for the company. But when she asked, the founder of the company, Frank Beveridge told her not to “waste her time”, so she left. Her exceptional skills caught the attention of Earl Tupper, who invited her to work for his company, Tupperware.
Brownie would often have “Tupperware parties”, which were the only places you could buy Tupperware, and if you bought it, you might feel like it’s a little bit special, because you got a very likeable and popular product at the only place you could. At these parties, Brownie would often fill a Tupperware container with ridiculously messy soup, tightly close the container... and throw it at one of the splendidly dressed ladies, though it was usually the hostess, but the container never spilled, so Brownie’s trick never failed, and purchases were always successful. From then on, Brownie had a long, lovely, and luxurious life... and then one day, she was randomly fired, so she tried to start her own company, Cinderella International, but it was unsuccessful and shut down a year later. then died after a long illness September 24th, 1992, in Kissimmee, Florida.
I think she was an inspirational, positive, hard-working, clever lady who had a great life, at least up until she was fired, but still! Even after everything she had gone through, she still fought hard to have a good business and keep working hard! (Plus, now you know what she has to do with Tupperware).

Julie Andrews
By Charlotte
Hello, I am going to be talking about Julie Andrews. Julie Andrews has been in over 30 movies including some of her most iconic movies, Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. She is also a Broadway superstar. Her most famous Broadway production is My Fair Lady. Julie Andrews is also an incredible author.
First, we will talk about her childhood years and teenage years. She was born on October 11, 1935, in a village called Walton-on-Thomes in England and named Julie Elizabeth Wells. Her very first word was home. When Julie Andrews was very little in her village she put on little shows. At the age of 3, Julie gave her first performance and helped someone on stage when their hat fell off. Julie has always known that the show must go on. Julie Andrews’ parents got divorced during the outbreak of World War 2. Julie Andrews had a hard childhood and overcame a lot of things including getting bombed in World War 2 and having alcoholic parents (her mom and stepdad). It was hard living away most of the time from her dad because he was really kind and understood children well. Julie Andrews’ first big performance was when she was 10, she did a duet with her mom. Julie's stepdad and mom were alcoholics, and she had to work and sing to help her family financially. Julie smoked when she was a kid. Thankfully a doctor talked her out of smoking. She believes if he had not, she may have ruined her voice before she even became famous. Julie Andrews is the youngest person to ever perform for the royal family in England.
Now we will talk about her Family and talk about Mary Poppins. Julie Andrews was performing Camelot on Broadway, when Walt Disney saw Julie and wanted her for Mary Poppins. Julie got the call that she was to be cast as Mary Poppins one day after having her baby. Julie Andrews has five children and has been married twice. She shares a biological daughter with her first husband Tony Walter and has two stepchildren and two adopted children from her marriage to Blake Edwards.
Julie Andrews has been in over 30 movies! This includes The Princess Diaries and Enchanted. Julie Andrews was 29 when Mary Poppins was filmed. Her most recent show was Bridgerton, she was the voice of Lady Wilsdon from 2020-2024. She was 88 years old when the final show was released. Julie Andrews has received 67 awards and 135 nominations. She has also received an award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children.
She has written many children’s books and helps many children’s programs. She used to read books in her dressing room when she was young. She started writing books when she could no longer sing. She was very sad about the damage to her vocal cords, but she knew that books would still bring joy and comfort during difficult times. She has her own children’s shows, Julie’s Library and Julie’s Greenroom. Her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton helps with her books and shows!
Julie Andrews used her fame to put women and children in the spotlight. She has also used her fame to promote and grow charitable organizations that help women and children.
There are some fun facts about Julie Andrews many people probably do not know. First, her hair was so short in the Sound of Music because the stylist “fried” her hair just before filming began, and they had to cut most of it off. Her favorite food is boiled potato sandwich. These are sandwiches with slices of potato between 2 pieces of French bread that are slathered in butter and salt. Julie Andrews’s favorite cake is carrot cake.
I love Julie Andrews because I can relate to her, and I have always admired her. I love that she has used her fame to help others. She is an excellent role model for children and even as she is almost 90, she continues to do projects to help teach and inspire children. This is why I love Julie Andrews!

Abraham Lincoln
By: Jack
I'm going to talk about Abraham Lincoln, his election, the war, how he set slaves
free, and his assassination. Abraham Lincoln was a good person because he set slaves free. He would probably have to be smart, kind, and popular
In the election for senator against Steven Douglas, Abraham Lincoln was starting to win support, so Douglas blamed him for criticizing the Mexican-American war. In the end, Douglas won. Later, Lincoln, with the help of David Davis, wins the Republican Nomination for president against three other candidates. On November 1860 Abraham Lincoln was elected for president of the United States.
Around a few years later, Abraham Lincoln was looking for help with South Carolina’s rebellion, but the other southern states wouldn't help him. On the other hand, all of the North rose up to fight in the war. Lincoln thinks that their side will win against this rebellion. This is because the war department was only getting good news. Lincoln needs to protect the white house from Maryland and Virgina because they are dangerous states at this time. At the beginning of the war Lincoln was getting help from his generals but near the end of it he took matters into his own hands because they were overrated. The Confederacy had been winning most of the battles, but then at Gettysburg they met the union army and within three days the confederacy was forced to retreat. Later, to win the war, the union surrounded the south and made a blockade. Generals Sherman and Grant invaded and destroyed the south's armies.
Lincoln was also trying to get rid of slavery. Many people thought that slavery would go away on its own, but Lincoln realized that strong men in the government were pushing for it. Lincoln spent a few weeks writing the Emancipation Proclamation, which is a speech about setting slaves free. In 1864 Abraham Lincoln called for an anti-slavery amendment, the amendment was signed in 1865.
Soon after Lincoln will get shot. Jonn Booth was mad at Lincoln because the Union won the war. During the assassination, Lincoln was sitting on a theater balcony when Booth steps in and shoots him from behind, piercing through his brain. Several doctors found him, but the bullet couldn't be removed. He died on April 15, 1865.
Because he died now, we can't learn anymore about him. Overall, Abraham Lincoln was a very kind person.
