I'm going to talk about Abraham Lincoln, his election, the war, how he set slaves

free, and his assassination. Abraham Lincoln was a good person because he set slaves free. He would probably have to be smart, kind, and popular

In the election for senator against Steven Douglas, Abraham Lincoln was starting to win support, so Douglas blamed him for criticizing the Mexican-American war. In the end, Douglas won. Later, Lincoln, with the help of David Davis, wins the Republican Nomination for president against three other candidates. On November 1860 Abraham Lincoln was elected for president of the United States.

Around a few years later, Abraham Lincoln was looking for help with South Carolina’s rebellion, but the other southern states wouldn't help him. On the other hand, all of the North rose up to fight in the war. Lincoln thinks that their side will win against this rebellion. This is because the war department was only getting good news. Lincoln needs to protect the white house from Maryland and Virgina because they are dangerous states at this time. At the beginning of the war Lincoln was getting help from his generals but near the end of it he took matters into his own hands because they were overrated. The Confederacy had been winning most of the battles, but then at Gettysburg they met the union army and within three days the confederacy was forced to retreat. Later, to win the war, the union surrounded the south and made a blockade. Generals Sherman and Grant invaded and destroyed the south's armies.

Lincoln was also trying to get rid of slavery. Many people thought that slavery would go away on its own, but Lincoln realized that strong men in the government were pushing for it. Lincoln spent a few weeks writing the Emancipation Proclamation, which is a speech about setting slaves free. In 1864 Abraham Lincoln called for an anti-slavery amendment, the amendment was signed in 1865.

Soon after Lincoln will get shot. Jonn Booth was mad at Lincoln because the Union won the war. During the assassination, Lincoln was sitting on a theater balcony when Booth steps in and shoots him from behind, piercing through his brain. Several doctors found him, but the bullet couldn't be removed. He died on April 15, 1865.

Because he died now, we can't learn anymore about him. Overall, Abraham Lincoln was a very kind person.

My report is on Abraham Lincoln. This essay will go over Lincoln and what happened to him. We will discuss his childhood, presidency, and the Civil War. and his assassination.

First, we will discuss his childhood: Lincoln was born in 1809 in a log cabin with a grass floor. His father was a farmer. His dog Honey saved him from an avalanche in a cave.

Next, we will discuss his presidentsy,Lincoln was the 16th president. He was a lawyer and loved to read. He was the first president to get assassinated. He signed the Emancipation Declaration freeing all slaves in the United States.

Now we will discuss the Civil War, The Civil War was the most brutal USA conflict. The first battle was at Fort Sumter. Lincoln had a general named General Grant, who later also became a president. The Civil War ended in 1865 and the Union won over the Confederates.

Finally, we will discuss the Assassination. Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, and he died on April 15th. Both yelled “The Southerners are revenged” when he shot Lincoln. Conclusion. My conclusion is, Abraham Lincoln is one of the greatest presidents. He ended slavery. He was fun to research

He fought battles and wars in the colonies. This war was called the Revolutionary War. George Washington was the general of the Continental Army. Then George Washington died in 1799.

Dwight D. Eisenhower (Dwight for short) was a supreme commander in World War 2 and the 34th president. I will tell you about what he did as a supreme commander, precedency, and about his life. I will also tell you some fun facts.

He was a five-star rank in the Army, so he was one of the best. He planned the invasion of Normandy, also called D-Day. HE was the supreme commander of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). He ordered Tanks to go to D-Day. He planned the invasion of north Africa to get them to stop the campaigning.,.

He lived from 10-14-1890 – 3-28-1969, Dwight had 3 daughters and 4 sons. He was very smart man. Fun fact: as a child he was a straight A student. Dwight died of Politico a scary heart disease. He lived and was raised in New York. Fun fact: Dwight was an immensely popular guy.

Dwight started the space race (race between Vietnam and U.S to get a man on the moon. He sinned the Bay Pigs invasion. He avoided “boots on the ground, (people fighting on the ground) He desegrated the Nation’s capital. He provided aid for the French when they got captured by the Germans (in World War 2). He was president 1953-1961, so he got to terms in office, where he did a lot of remarkable things.

That is the end of Dwight. D Eisenhower Daily Tribute. Dwight had people who liked him and people who hated him. He was a good person and president (to me). Eisenhower was a great person but sadly he died.

Abraham Lincoln

Hi, I am going to tell you about Abraham Lincoln I worked extremely hard on this I hope you enjoy! 

Abraham Lincoln became the United States 16th president in 1861 issuing the emancipation. Proclamation that declared to forever free their slaves within the confederacy in 1863.... When confederate batteries fired on fort cumber and forced its surrender, he called the states for 75,000 volunteers. 

And Abraham Lincoln birthday is on February 12, 1809. Abe Lincoln is the only president to obtain a pedant. A pedant is basically a copyright for an intention. Lincoln invented the secret service hours before his assassination 

John Wilkes booths has the assassinate of Abe Lincoln. Also, John Wilkes booths brother saved Abes sones life from getting hit by a train. Did you know that he was enshrined in the resiling hall of fame? Grave robbers tried to steal Lincoln's corse. 

In conclusion Abe Lincoln was a very fun person to research he in my favorite president and I really recommend him. Thank you for listing. THE END. 

Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the longest serving president of the United States. He was a governor of New York. A senator of New York. And a. Key role model in the United States history. 

 Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born January 30th, 1882, in Hyde Park New York. His mother was Sara Ann Roosevelt his father who died in 1900 was James Roosevelt 1. His mother and father were 6th cousins. Franklin had a half-brother named James rosy Roosevelt. When he was young, he learned to sail. When he was 16 is father gave him a sailboat. 

Except for attending public school in Germany at the age of nine he was mostly home schooled. Until he turned 14, he then attended Harvard and got an ab in history then he went to. Groton boarding school in Massachusetts. But then in 1900 Roosevelts father died. In 1905 franklin married Eleanor his fifth cousin once removed. 

Senator of New York 

Roosevelt held little passion for the practice of law and confided to friends that he planned to eventually enter politics. Despite his admiration for his cousin Theodore. Franklin inherited his father's reputation with the Democratic Party. But Theodore was a major role model. Assistant secretary of the navy in 1913 Roosevelt became assistant secretary of the navy in 1917. He was very helpful at motivating the navy sailors. And he was it for. Quiet a long time. Until the end of world war I.  

In 1920 he had a campaign for vice president he lost. In 1921 he caught polio and it paralyzed his legs for the rest of his life. In 1929 he was elected governor of New York. 

First term 

In 1933 he was elected the 32nd president of the United States. In 1933 he stopped the distribution of gold coins to the public, and all were melted down into gold bars. Except for a few that were saved. And that helped the U.S through the great depression. In 1933 he created the new deal program. 

Second term 

 In 1936 he set the new deal program into its second phase. And made a bunch of speeches. But kept a close eye on the advancements and moves other countries were making. But kept a caution about Germany. But in 1939 Germany invaded Poland. 

Third term 

In his third term everyone was surprised with a third campaign for election. When he won, he set the record for longest serving president. The beginning of hi 3rd term was quiet settle but in December 1941 japan attacked Hawaii and not even a week later he declared war on japan and Germany. And that sent the greater majority of the Japanese American Heritage. Into internment camps. 

Fourth term 

After the Yalta conference was quite unstable and he had had declining health since at least 1940. They ran some blood tests, and he was found to have high blood pressure and his heart was failing.  And there was no cure. 

 Death and remembrance 

On, April 12, 1945, in warm springs Georgia he said, “I have a terrific headache”. And not long after he died. He did lots of great things in his life. Today he is remembered by many memorials, and you should see his face every day on the dime.  

And that concludes my FDR bistro presentation. In my opinion He was one of the greatest U.S presidents he has over 100 written works about him and. Is known for being the longest serving president of the United States. He is on the dime. 

 

 

Barack Obama

Here is my report on Obama. There are parts about his family. All of this is in my own words. I hope you like my report on Barack Obama!! And I hope this is as much fun for you to hear as it was for me to write. 

Barack Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii on August 4th, 1961, his parents names were Barack Obama Sr. And Stanly Anne Dunham. President Obama was born after his father making him Barack Obama the 2nd his father is Barack Obama the 1st. 

Barack got married on October 3, 1992, to Michelle Robinson. Later when Obama was elected, she became the 1st black First Lady. 

Barak Obama was the 2007 election against Paul Ryan. His vice President in the election was Joe Biden.  

 He is currently 59 years old. In early 2010, Michelle spoke about her husband's smoking habit and said Barack had quit smoking. Barack Obama has written a lot of books. Obama has authored a book that is 701 pages long. President Obama served 2 terms as president making it 8 years Barack Obama sold more books than his wife. He has two kids named Sasha Obama and Malia Obama. The Obamas do not still live in Washington dc. Our president today was Obamas vice president. He was the 44th president of the U.S.A. in 2009. He was the first African American president. He served as president 2007-2017.

George Washington

Growing up   

George Washington was born on February 22, 1732, in the colony of Virginia. He was very athletic and loved riding horses and later was known as the best horseman in Virginia. 

George was good at math but was never good at spelling it embarrassed him all his life 

Mount Vernon 

He wasn’t close to his mother; she was very mean and bossy. When he was eleven his father died so he moved in with his half-brother Lawrence. 

At one-point George's half-brother Lawrence died in militia Goerge replaced him  

Country life  

After the French and Indian war which didn’t go so well Goerge went back to mount Vernon and married Martha custus at one-point George and Martha owned as many as 300 slaves, later in life he realized slavery was wrong. 

In his farming life George stopped growing tobacco and switched to wheat because it was easier to grow, when the English taxed the tea George switched to coffee. 

Commanding general 

Later George was a general in the military during the revolutionary war the conditions were so bad more people died from smallpox than battle wounds. After George won the war, he was going to go back to be a farmer. 

Because of his fame in war George won both elections for president both times John Adams got in second both times as president he set the example of only serving 2 terms, he made sure he didn’t get to powerful. 

George Washington was very important in history without him we wouldn’t have had a president till a lot longer.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was one of the most interesting presidents. He guided our country through political crises, not to mention the Civil War. He was a strong leader and helped our country end slavery. He never gave up. In his own words, here’s how he did it. 

I was born on February 12, 1809, in a log cabin in Kentucky.  We were a very poor family, so I had to help around the house. My parents could only afford one year of schooling, so I taught myself how to read. In 1818, our mother, Nancy, died from milk sickness. We were already sad enough due to being poor. It took a long time to bounce back. Eventually, our father, Thomas Lincoln, set out to Illinois to find a new wife. Once we made it, he asked a lady whose husband died to marry him. Her name was Sarah and once I met her, I knew she was a keeper.  

In 1842, I met the love of my life, Mary Todd. We went on to have four kids, Robert, William, Tad, and Eddie. Sadly, Eddie died after his fourth birthday, William died right by me in the White House when he was 11, and Tad died when he was just 18. If you’ve ever experienced losing a child, then you know that it’s the worst thing that could ever happen to you.  I had to endure the loss of three children. 

In 1854, I was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives. I ran for the United States Senate and unfortunately lost. Soon I decided to run for president and faced my opponent, Stephen A. Douglas. The election was held on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1860. I won by getting 55% of the vote! I was now the president of the United States of America! 

It was not an easy task being the 16th president, as many people hated me. One of the reasons is that I wanted to end slavery and most people in the North agreed, but the South did not. This led to the start of the Civil War.  

That year, in a historic moment, I signed the Emancipation Proclamation, which changed the course of our history. During the war, on November 19, 1863, at a cemetery in Pennsylvania, I gave a speech that honored the soldiers who had died in the war. The Gettysburg Address was a short speech, only being 271 words long, but it had great meaning. After the speech, I was worried people did not think it was a very good speech, but I wanted to honor our soldiers for their bravery, which would never be forgotten. 

In 1865, the war was coming to an end.  I was determined to free the slaves, which I was able to do by signing the Emancipation Proclamation.  The Emancipation Proclamation was a document that helped end the war and freed the slaves from the Confederacy. The only catch was the rebellious states were still slaves. Many people were not happy with me, and some even gave death threats, but I knew it was the right thing to do. 

 On April 14, 1865, I went to see a play with my wife. The play was a comedy.  Suddenly, I heard a big boom! That was the end for me. I was shot in the back of the head by John Wilkes Booth, an actor. I eventually died of a head wound on April 15, 1865.  I was 56 years old. 

         In conclusion, President Lincoln was one of our most important presidents because he helped make the world a better place. He stood by his convictions and wasn’t afraid to act on them. We need more leaders like him.
