Rosabelle Sinclair

BY: FINLEY

Hello, it's so nice to meet you! Today I am going to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born on November 8, 1890, in Russia. I had two lovely parents' bertha and Reginald Sinclair. I also had two siblings, Elmira and Robert Sinclair. I attended Street Leonard's School, where womans lacrosse had been introduced by Louisa Lumsden. I arrived in the United States and taught gymnastics at Rosemary Hall school. I started the first lacrosse team at Bryn Mawr school in Baltimore and was the first to introduce lacrosse for females in America. I taught at Bryn Mawr school from 1925 – 1951. I was the first female inductee into the national lacrosse hall of fame. Some people also like to call me the grand dame of lacrosse.

Thank you for letting me share a little bit about me today!
