Mori Motonari

By Hayden

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mori-Motonari.jpg

This report is about Mori Motonari and his really awesome life. This story tells about ghosts and chinese wars territories and clan castles and a little bite of death. This is a little bit of death.

Mori motonari was born in 1497 and died in 1517 he lived to 74 years old. Mori was born under the name shojumaru of the aki period in 1497. He was said to be born in an ancient castle called suzuo castle. Once he got older his dad retired of the head of a clan of war in the year 1500. Before his dad retired motonari and his mother left the kingdom and went to a new castle and his mother married the king there and he stayed in the castle for a couple years.

When motonari was older he notice that there was a library in the village and he read some books in there and figured out the there used to be a clan in the castle and that there were ghost of the former clan leader. He want to be a ghost hunter but sadly failed because he did not know he to ghost hunt and there were no books about it.Mori was so scared that he brought in an ancient enchanter called Tung Wing and the ghost were no longer in the castle. Then he meet the blake family.Mori meet a son of the family. The son’s name was shojumaru. They left the kingdom and they started their own clan.

Motonari one wish was to be the leader. shojumaru one wish was to be the general. Over the years mori and shojumaru recruited people to join there clan. Mori and his clan were challenged by the clan of the mountain. But before I tell you that story you need to hear this story it was the story of his dads clan. The clan was started by a warrior with no name and he started a war that would allow 12 territories in china and it worked only he only controlled one of those territory. Back to the other story of mori and his friend.

When mori and his clan were challenged by the clan of the mountain they soon won. (it only took them 2 days to win.) They owned 2 of the other territories. ( They got the other territory from the dads clan) but the other clans did not like that they had 2 territory so the chinese war broke out. ( there are a total of 11 clans) The 10 clans all wanted that

other piece of territory to be owned by another clan so there would be 12 clans but motonari wanted to keep his territories he was challenged by only 9 clans and won all of them somewhere very close fights and some that were really easy. There was only one clan left and mori gave that clan some option to fight or to keep their territory and live in peace. They kept their territory and lived in peace. Once Mori dead he was remembered as a daredevil and a ruthless samurai.

I hope that you learned something about one of the most feared war lords in china. In other words you would not like to like in this time period.

Paul Revere

By: Bennet

http://www.biography.com/people/paul-revere-9456172
Paul Revere was made famous by the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.” Mr. Revere developed a system of lanterns to warn the town of Lexington, Massachusetts, that the British were coming. You will often hear that very quote stated when referring to him, as well as, “One if by land, two if by sea.”

Paul Revere was born January 1, 1735, in Massachusetts. His father was a silversmith who died in 1754. His mother was a member of a well-established Boston family. She died in 1777. When Paul’s dad died, Paul was legally too young to own a silver shop. Once Paul became of age, he then owned his father’s shop.

In 1775, the Revolutionary War began. Joseph Warren sent Paul to warn the Massachusetts Provincial Congress. To choose which route to take, Paul hung lanterns and told the people they would know where to expect the British by the number of lanterns hung: “One if by land, two if by sea.” When the war ended in 1783, there was a shortage of gunpowder, so Paul went to work on a powder mill.

In the beginning of 1792, he became one of America’s top bell casters and the Grand Master of the Freemasons. He also became the first person to successfully make copper sheets. After Paul’s death on May 1, 1818, his son Joseph Warren Revere took over the business. The Revere Copper Company still stands today. You can see his silverware, engravings and other works at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Although Paul is most remembered for his midnight ride, perhaps his greatest contributions came from his hammer and chisel. He was a man of many talents and was important in Boston’s success in resisting the authority of the British Parliament.

Cleopatra

By: Aidan

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bust_of_Cleopatra

Hello today I am going to tell the story of Cleopatra’s ‘’dramatic’’ life. First of all, she was queen of the Nile, which is the longest river in the world and was an important river at the time.when Cleopatra ruled. Cleopatra went through three or four marriages and had four children total. She was related to one of the people she married.

Cleopatra was born around 69 B.C. and was the third of six children. Cleopatra’s father was the king of the Nile and when he died he left the throne to his eighteen year old daughter, Cleopatra, and her ten year old brother, Ptolemy XIII, who Cleopatra then married. She had no children while married to her brother. Cleopatra and her brother battled over power and Cleopatra eventually formed her own army. She joined with Roman leader, Julius Caesar, to defeat her brother.

She then married Julius Caesar. She had one son with Julius Caesar. In 44 B.C.Julius Caesar was killed. Cleopatra then married Roman leader Mark Antony. When Cleopatra was married to Mark Antony she had one girl, Cleopatra II, and two boys, Alexander and Ptolemy.

It is known that Cleopatra committed suicide and there are different paintings and sculptures of Cleopatra committing suicide. One painting is called ‘’The Death of Cleopatra’’ by Juan luna which was painted in 1881. The Cleopatra committing suicide story started as a rumor but when Mark Antony heard the story he committed suicide. When Cleopatra heard about Mark Antony committing suicide Cleopatra took a deadly desert snake called an asp and the snake bit Cleopatra.

Throughout Cleopatra’s life she spoke Greek and eight other languages. Although she had no Egyptian blood, she embraced the Egyptian culture. Cleopatra was a great ruler and was also in a panting with Julius Caesar from 1866 and it was done by Gerome. Cleopatra was and is a great ruler and it is creepy that she married one of her siblings but it was a popular custom at the time.

Alexander Hamilton

By: Zach

Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1755 or 1757, the exact date is unknown. Alexander was a great student at King's College, a high class college in New York. When Hamilton was applying to join the military, he most likely lied about his age to join. It took at least 200 years to finally establish a proper monument for Alexander Hamilton. Now you will embrace his early life, his military experiences, his political life, and last you will learn about his death.

Hamilton left for New York City in 1772. When he arrived in America, he went to Kortright to pick up his “allowance” that his parents left for him. He’s an orphan. He made a friend in Hercules Mulligan, a spirited, outgoing Irishman. For the next year, he lived in the upstairs of Hercules’ tailor shop. Then the next year when he was 18 years old, he applied for King's College.

After only two years of college, he began his military experience. “In 1775, discounting his education, he founded a volunteer military company”(1). Next he joined the U.S. military. After a couple of years in the U.S. military, he was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and was made General Washington's Aide-de-Camp. This means to be “a military officer who assists another high-ranking officer”(8). He received this position because Washington was impressed by Hamilton's writing skills. After a year, he was sent to spend the winter of 1777-1778 with General Washington and the Continental Army at Valley Forge. He was also in the battle of Yorktown. He had gathered the French to be a wall with their navy which helped make the battle a success.

Equally important is his time in politics and with his family. On December 14, 1780, Alexander Hamilton married Elizabeth (Eliza) Schuyler, who came from a VERY wealthy and prominent New York family. He was the Secretary of Treasury for the U.S. One of his accomplishments was starting the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, where it stayed even after the capital moved to Washington D.C. Since he was the first Secretary of Treasury, his image was put on the ten dollar bill. He had eight children; Philip, John Church, William S., James Alexander, Eliza, Alexander Jr., Phillip, and Angelica.

Finally, Hamilton lost a duel that ended his life. The people asked Hamilton who he would vote for to be President and he answered by telling the people that he would vote for Thomas Jefferson and not Aaron Burr. That made Aaron Burr mad because he thought that he and Hamilton were close friends. At dawn on July 11, 1804, Hamilton was shot right above his right hip by Aaron Burr. When he was falling he fired his shot and it sailed above Burr’s head and wedged itself in a tree behind Burr. Three years early, Hamilton’s oldest son Philip had died on the same island, Weehawken in New Jersey, while dueling like his father.

In conclusion, I think that Alexander Hamilton was an incredible person. I’m very glad that he fought in the Revolutionary War. He was the FIRST Secretary of Treasury, that’s just awesome. Hamilton was one of our very important founding fathers. That is just a slim, very slim part about Hamilton's life.

Barack Obama

By Ali
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama

Barack Obama is the first Black American President and he is one of the most important people I know. He prevents deaths between bad people and bad things, he prevents bad education, prison without jury, quality and affordable health care for people, and plans to create jobs around the United States. Barack Obama makes good education, good healthcare for people around the United States. I think Barack Obama is very awesome and handsome person.

His education:

Columbia College,1981-1983

Harvard Law School,1988-1991 Graduated a lawyer

Barack Obama is focusing on helping make quality education for people. Obama plans to create jobs for the working class. The US economy surged forward 3.7 percent growth in the second quarter.

Another wonderful quality is Barack Obama is the best president in my whole life. He keeps making good things for America and the people. Barack Obama brought equality between man and woman at the working place.

Alfred Wegener

by:Mason

Hello my name is Alfred Wegener I had the continental drift theory. And I will teach you about my work and unusual life.

I was born on November 1, 1880 in berlin Germany. My father taught classical languages. There was not much going on in my early life. although my 5 brothers and I set a new record for a balloon fight that lasted for a continuous 52.5 hours from april 5 to april 7. Although I was the youngest I got college degrees in meteorology, geology and astronomy. I fought in world war ln l as a reserve officer but soon retired after experiencing fierce fighting. In 1912 I wrote a paper explaining my theory, Continental Drift. My partner's thought my theory was crazy and I unwillingly earned The nickname “Mad Man With A Map”.

Continental drift is when millions of years ago the American continents formed a single landmass with the Asian and European continents. But over time it has moved to take its current form. Although my estimate of velocity was 25 cm/year it has been proved to be 2.5 cm/year.

I went on four Greenland expeditions trying to prove my theory. But on my fourth in 1930 I got caught in a terrible blizzard and died in -76˚F at age 50. I was found dead 6 months after the blizzard and my grave was marked with a pair of skis. 30 years after I died in 1960 after world war 2 geologists discovered plate tectonics. Although they already knew about tectonic plates but plate tectonics is explaining how tectonic plates work . With that they proved my theory.

In Conclusion Alfred Wegener is a brilliant guy because his theory was amazing, interesting and very important to us today.

(p.s. I’m a ghost telling this biography.)

Dr. Marie Curie

The Radioactive Woman

A Biographical Report on Dr.Marie Salomea Skłodowska-Curie

By: Lynsey
Marie Curie was an amazing person. She did things that most people would not dream of accomplishing. Today, I am going to tell you about her early life, her personal life, and her work. I hope that by the end of this report you agree that Marie Curie is an amazing, wonderful person.

First, I will discuss Maria’s early life and schooling. Maria Salomea SkÅ‚odowska was born on November 7, 1867, in Warsaw, Poland. She died on July 4, 1934 in Passy, Haute-Savoie, France from aplastic anemia as a result of radiation poisoning. Maria SkÅ‚odowska was born to WÅ‚adysÅ‚aw SkÅ‚odowski (her father) and BronisÅ‚awa SkÅ‚odowska (her mother). Tragically, when Maria was only ten years old, she lost her mother to tuberculosis. Since Maria could not attend the men-only University of Warsaw, she attended a “floating university.” A “floating university” is a place where there are classes held in secret. That was Maria’s early life and schooling.

Now, I am going to talk about Maria’s personal life. Maria went to France to further her education. When Maria went to France, she changed her name to the French version of her name, which is Marie. Marie Salomea SkÅ‚odowska became Marie Salomea SkÅ‚odowska-Curie on July 26, 1895. On that day she married Pierre Curie (1859-1906). Marie met Pierre in France, at the School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry. Mrs. Curie had two daughters with Pierre, Irène Joliot-Curie (1897-1956) and Ève Curie (1904-2007). That was basically her personal life.

Have you done anything in your life that you believe has truly had an effect on the world? The answer is most likely no. However, in Mrs.Curie’s case it is more than true. Mrs.SkÅ‚odowska-Curie was the first woman to get a doctorate in France, and the first person to win the Nobel Prize in two separate fields. Those fields included physics and chemistry. Besides that, she was the first woman ever to win a Nobel Prize. Marie received two awards for discovering two elements. The elements were polonium and radium. She named polonium after her home country of Poland. She called the other radium, because it was radioactive. Mrs.Curie actually invented the term radioactivity, which describes rays emitted by uranium. Ironically, Mrs.Curie died from radiation poisoning. She did not know that it would kill her. She did not die for nothing though, because now we know that too much exposure to radiation can kill you. My point is that Mrs.Curie did a lot in the world of science.

I hope you enjoyed my report. I also hope you learned something about Marie’s early life, her personal life, and her breakthrough discoveries in both the world of physics and the world of chemistry. I also hope that you agree with my opinion that Marie Curie is an awesome person. As Mrs.Curie once said,

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”

I encourage you to try to understand things, and if you do indeed fear them, try to combat that fear with knowledge, because knowledge is power. I thank you for reading my report. For more information about Dr.Marie Salomea Skłodowska-Curie, please check out the sources below.

Florence Griffith Joyner "Flo-Jo"

  “Everything”

A Biography on Florence Griffith Joyner

Written by: Gabriella

When I was younger, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said, “Everything, I want to be everything.” The other kids laughed at me with my crazy hair and funky style. Although they thought a girl like me would never become anything, I never gave up on my dream. Well, I’ve now won three gold medals and two silver medals at the Olympics. I’m here to tell you how I accomplished “everything.”

I was born on December 21, 1959 in Los Angeles, California. I have ten siblings and since it was not safe to roam around the neighborhood we always played games together outside in our backyard. I found my talent of running around the age of seven. My mother was a single mother and always taught us to be ourselves. As a child I would do funky things like sewing clothes for my Barbies and riding a unicycle. When I was fourteen, it was an honor when I won the Jesse Owens National Youth Games. In high school, I was the anchor of the 4 by 400 relay team. In college, I competed on the track team and won many different races. Some of my coaches even believed I could be an Olympic Star.

Then times grew tough. I dropped out of college to get a job as a bank teller. However, my coach did not want me to give up, so he got me financial aid and helped me return to school. In 1982, I graduated from UCLA with a degree in psychology. I also became an NCAA champion with a victory in the 200-meter. The next year I took the top spot in the 400-meter.

In 1984, I went to Los Angeles for my first time in the Olympics. In the 200 meter I ran 22.02 to take the silver medal. After the 1985 track season, I needed to go back to work to help out my family, so I found the same job as a bank teller and did hair for my friends as a side job. I still found time to work with my coach, Bob Kersee, even though I was very busy. At the 1987 World Championships I won the silver medal in the 200 meter with a time of 21.96.

On October 10, 1987 I was the happiest woman on the Earth. I married Al Joyner, Olympic triple jump gold medalist. He was also the brother of Jackie Joyner-Kersee and I became part of the first family of track and field. After that I left Kersee’s training camp so my husband could take over training me.

A year later, at the Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, I won three different races. Then, I won three gold medals at the Olympics. I took home the gold in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meter relay. I also took home the silver medal in the 4 by 400 relay. Then is when I got my nickname, “Flo-Jo”.

There were some rumors of me using drugs. I had to just ignore them because if I stop to kick every barking dog, I am not going to get to the places I need to go.

In January 1989 I retired from competitive track and field to pursue my other dreams. I started acting, writing (poetry, children's books, romance novels, etc.). I also established my own clothing design company and cosmetics business. I even designed the uniforms for the Indiana Pacers a year ago. Now after a year, I am taking care of my beautiful baby girl, Mary Ruth Joyner.

Well, that is how I accomplished “everything.” I would like all of you to go out and pursue your dreams. I hope you will always remember that I believe in the impossible because no one else does. That is why you should as well.

Annie Oakley

by Grace

http://rocketwagon.com/2014/04/the-easily-missed-stories-of-annie-oakley-and-the-ugly-dragon/

I’m doing a report on Annie Oakley. Annie Oakley was a sharpshooter. She was the best at aiming and shooting. Annie Oakley was really poor. She was also an orphan girl growing up. She was rough and tough.

First you’re going to hear about Annie Oakley's early life. Annie Oakley was born in Willowdell, Ohio on August 13, 1860. She died in Greenville, Ohio on November 3,1926. Annie began trapping at the age of seven. She began shooting and hunting at the age of eight. Annie Oakley had nine siblings. However, two of her siblings died at birth. She was the fifth out of seven in her family. Annie became an orphan after her father died and she left her mom at a very young age to work.

Next you’re going to hear about how Annie Oakley became famous. She was an actress in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Annie performed as a champion markswoman on the show. She started acting in the Wild West Show in 1885, when she was twentyfive. She was in the Wild West Show for 16 years! Her nickname on the show was Watanya Cicilla. She was able to travel all over the country and the world. She also traveled to London. During the Wild West Show, Annie Oakley met a Native American leader named Sitting Bull. Sitting Bull was so impressed with her manners and abilities that he “adopted” her. She was 25 when she was adopted. She got hit by a train and was badly injured, so she had to quit the Wild West Show.

Lastly you’re going to hear about Annie Oakley’s quotes and death date. She died of pernicious anemia. She didn’t have enough vitamin B12 in her diet so she died. She had poor reflexes as a result of her pernicious anemia. One of the quotes by Annie is: “Aim at a high mark and you’ll hit it. No not the first time, nor the second time. Maybe not the third. But keep on aiming and keep on shooting for only practice will make you perfect.”

I think Annie Oakley is pretty amazing! She did so many amazing things. She’s the best at aiming and shooting. I’m surprised that she was an orphan and that she was adopted by a Native American leader.

This is a story or biography about Aaron Burr. So here's a short brief Aaron Burr was very well know not. He was on a "Got Milk" commercial which was not famous. So yes this is a story about a murderer so have fun listening to this story.

Early Life
“Burr was born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1756” was the second child of Reverend Burr,Sr a minister of “Presbyterian.” Burr had an older sister named (“sally”) or sarah named for her maternal grandmother. She he married Tapping Reeve, founder of the Law School in Litchfield, Connecticut. Aaron’s father died in 1757, his mother left following year.

Revolutionary War.
During the Rev. War,” Burr took part in Colonel Benedict Arnold’s expedition to Quebec.A trek of more than 300 miles (480km) through the frontier of what is now Maine. When their forces reached the city of Quebec, Burr was sent the Saint Lawrence River. To contact General Richard Montgomery, who had taken Montreal, and escort him to Quebec.

Marriage & Family.
“In 1782, Aaron Burr married Theodosia Bartow Prevost (1746-1794). A widow with five children who was ten years his senior, and lived with her in Philadelphia. “The Burrs’ daughter Theodosia, born in 1738 and named after her mother. Was their only child to survive to adulthood.

Politics.
“Burr served in the New York Assembly from 1784 to 1785.” He became seriously involved in politics in 1789.”“ Burr ran for president in the 1769 election, coming in fourth with 30 votes behind John Adams.” “Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Pinckney, ( At the time members of the electoral college cast two ballots but didn’t specify an office.”)

Julius Caesar

The Life of Julius Caesar

By:JJ

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Caesar

How much do you know about Julius Caesar? Well you can find out some more about him by reading this biography. You will learn much about him,his military career, death, some of his amazing feats and his strange ways.

Julius Caesar was born July 13th 100 BC. He grew up as a great general but ended up fighting the wrong people. He started a civil war in his own country! Another Roman man named Pompey beat him once in the Roman Civil War but Caesar came back and beat him. Julius Caesar almost always let the people he beat live and would “pardon” them and ,in a way, put them in his debt. A lot of the Romans he beat in the Roman Civil War preferred death to this treatment, which I don’t understand.

After he won the Roman Civil War he involved himself in the Egyptian Civil War.The war was between Cleopatra and her husband who was also her brother! Caesar ended up killing Cleopatra's husband/brother. After he settled that civil war he started a relationship with Cleopatra! Then Caesar fought and beat The King of Pontus, Cato who committed suicide so he wouldn't pardoned by Caesar since he was a Roman. I told you that these roman guys preferred death to being pardoned by Caesar. Then he fought and ended up killing (one of)Pompey’s two sons. It is was in the war against Pompey’s sons that Caesar came the closest to dying while staying alive. His army was so scared of the army of Pompey’s sons that they would not fight them. Caesar solved this problem by grabbing a shield and a sword and running at Pompey’s sons army by himself! His whole army then ran up to protect Caesar and won the battle.

Caesar returned to Rome and was appointed dictator for life in February 44 BC. He was preparing for another war, this time with the Parthian Empire but before he started the war he was...assassinated! On March 14 44 BC, when Caesar was going to a meeting in a sennet chamber chamber he was attacked by sixty senators and stabbed twenty-three times. Probably very few of the wounds was fatal. He did not die instantly but instead bled out at the feet of a statue of Pompey. A bit ironic. He ended the military career and indirectly the life of one of the greatest military men in Rome and he ended up bleeding out at the feet of his statue. After he died all the common, poor people attacked the houses of some of the people who had participated in his assassination like Brutus.

Julius Caesar was a very cool Roman. He did a lot of things. Some good some bad. But whether what he did was good or bad he made a big impact in Roman and modern history.

Edgar Allen Poe

By George

Oh, hi there. My name is Edgar Allan Poe. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I went to school at the University of Virginia. Sadly I had to drop out because my family did not have enough money to afford school. I then made a book called “Tamerlane and Other Poems.” When I was older I went to the U.S. Military academy, but was soon expelled. I was brought up by my aunt & uncle because my mom died when I was three, and my dad left the family.

My family had lost a lot of money to gambling losses. When I had dropped out I claimed that my uncle had made me because he had lost a lot of money gambling. Sadly that ended up to be true. Later I went to the U.S. Military academy at West Point, but was sadly soon expelled because I hadn’t done well with my duties. Then I went on to become a writer and start that as a career. I must say it ended up in favor of me. Now I’ll let my older brother William Henry Leonard Poe tell what he saw from his point of view.

Well hello. I’m guessing Edgar wants me to tell you a bit about him. Well I might as well tell you.My brother actually married our cousin. She & Edgar stayed together for their entire lives. I didn’t know him much. I know a bit though. I know in honor of his poem ‘The Raven’ The Ravens football team was founded. I was famous because I was his brother. His wife’s name was Virginia Clemm Poe. Well I think I’ve told you enough. Now I’ll let our younger sister tell what she knows. Good bye.

Hello there, I’m guessing William wants me to tell you about what I know about Edgar, Will, and I right? Well than I’ll tell you. Will, Edgar, and I never really knew our parents. Edgar was separated from us, and went to live with our aunt and uncle. John & Frances Allan whom I believe is a successful tobacco merchant. They lived in Richmond, Virginia. I believe he grew happy having Frances around. I don’t think that he and John ever really bonded. When Edgar left the University he turned to gambling to cover the difference. He ended up in debt of John who let it go. Well I’ll leave you to Edgar.

Well my friend I hope you have learned, “Quoth the raven, Nevermore.”

These are pictures of Edgar (left) & William (right)

‘The Raven’

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary, over a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, while I nodded nearly napping suddenly there came a tapping as of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. “Tis some visitor.” I muttered, “Tapping at my chamber door, only this and nothing more.”

Thank You

Nellie Bly

The Adventurous Nellie Bly!

By Kyli

https://www.nwhm.org/online-exhibits/youngandbrave/bly.html

Does anyone know where my monkey is? No? Sorry. He can be quite rambunctious at times. I bought him in Singapore on my trip around the world. It was quite a quick trip, only seventy two days! I wrote a book on it. It was a bit insane, but not as insane as when I went undercover to become a “patient” at a mental hospital. That made a great newspaper report. Anyway… would you like to get to know me? I thought so.

Here we will ask the classic question, “Who am I?” I am Nellie Bly! I was born, Elizabeth Jane Cochran, May 5, 1864, in Cochran Mills, Pennsylvania. I was a journalist/reporter/inventor, and I made an important change to our world in a few ways. One that I feel is very important is that I went undercover to become a patient at a mental hospital to show how badly the mentally ill were treated. I am most known for being a reporter that actually does what I’m writing about. For instance, I wrote a book called Around The World In 72 Days. This is because I actually went around the world in seventy-two days.

I sure was a cute kid in my younger days. My father was a very important part of my life. He taught all of his kids, including me, how hard work and determination can get you places. I took this very seriously throughout my life. I was also nicknamed “Pinky” because I wore the color so often. But in my preteens, I decided to stop so people would take me more seriously. My first writing was actually a response to an article in the newspaper titled “How Women Should Act.” The original article explained that women should not have an education, in fact, that they should not leave their house, etc. I was outraged! I wrote back my thoughts about the article, and titled it “The Little Orphan Girl.” One of my most important discoveries was when I went undercover and pretended to be crazy, spending ten days in a mental institute. I wrote about how they treated the patients there. There were horrible conditions, and I titled my article “Ten Days In The Madhouse.” My experience, and article, changed the way we look at the mentally ill.

I traveled to many places, including a trip to Mexico and of course, all around the world. On my trip around the world, I had crazy adventures, including the monkey! I went to Mexico to write about their government, and what we were doing to them. Many Americans, and some Mexicans, didn’t appreciate this. When I went around the world, I was racing another woman. I won, getting back 72 days later.

Finally, we will discuss my later years. In 1895, I married millionaire, Robert Seaman. Seaman was seventy-three, and I was thirty-one when we got married. Seaman died in 1904, then I came up with the idea of a milk can, and stacking garbage cans. I then died at age fifty-seven of pneumonia in St. Mark’s Hospital in New York City. I was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in New York, 1922.

Well, did you enjoy my life? Good. I think I am a very interesting person. I am glad you enjoyed my life story. I hope you are intrigued to learn more. I’ve done many things important to the world. And I think I am just downright amazing.
