Ole Kirk Christiansen

By Lee

Ole was the founder of the Lego company. Lego is a combination of two Danish words Leg Godt meaning “play well.” He was the 10th son of a family.
On April 7th, 1891 in South Jutland in Denmark, Ole was born. In 1905 he got his first job as an assistant for his brother. His second job, which he moved to Germany, was a carpenter where he worked there for about 5 years. Ole then bought the Billund carpentry shop with his own money.
Ole married the daughter of a Norwegian cheese maker, Kristine Sorenson. Together, they had four children. In 1924 two of their children were making wood shavings in the factory when a fire started burning their home and the shop. In 1930, his business fell in the Great Depression, only allowing his company to make Christmas tree stands and toys.
Ole bought a new company after his last worker was dismissed and his wife died. In 1947, Ole bought a self-molding machine and started making the bricks in 1958. In 1958, he died of a heart attack on March 11th1958.

I researched Ole because I love the Lego products and the amount of different bricks that we have today.

Stan lee

Report Typed and Made By: Lee
Stan Lee was a U.S. writer for the company “Marvel Comics” since he was almost 17. His nickname is “Stan Lee”, but he really is “Stanley Lieber.” He was originally from a Jewish family, and he was very lucky at that note. He has become VERY famous because of his comic books “Spiderman” and “The Fantastic Four.” His connection with Marvel Comic and Marvel Studios has brought him very far in his life so let's swing right into the information I have brought you!
First, you should know a lot about him, so here I go! He was born on December 28th, 1922. He and his parents lived in a small apartment that had a window facing a building. Stan states “One day I want an apartment with a window that’s facing the street.” When he was almost 17, he started working for Timely Comics. If you’re wondering, Timely is now Marvel so he did stay there for basically the rest of his life! By the way, he said he was 17 but, he was 16 when he was hired so he kind of was under aged when that happened. So that means he might of did something kind of illegal. Anyway, moving on now!
When he was 20, he went to the U.S. Army in the winter of 1942. He was part of the Signal Corps. Then, he went back to Timely, which had just evolved into Marvel. A little time after returning, he established The Fantastic Four. A little bit later, he met his wife, Joan Lee, who died July 6th, 2017. The first thing Stan said to her was “I love you!” When he met his wife, she was a model who came to Marvel for a blind date for Stan.
A couple decades after those fine moments, he won 10 awards, and he was nominated for 11, but he lost 1. In 2018, Stan died at 95 years old on November 12th, 2018. The movie, “Avengers Endgame” includes Stan’s last cameo. Marvel Studios started filming Endgame before he died, so they filmed his cameo early because they kind of knew he would’ve passed away soon.
As I mentioned earlier, many thought Stan was just “Stan Lee,” but I learned that he really is “Stanley Lieber.” Stan is such an interesting person (in real life and to research). I personally researched him because he recently passed away. It was very sad, but he lived a long life. He lived to 95 years old! In my opinion, that’s amazing!
