Hi, today you will be reading about a man who has done desert racing, stuntIng racing and acting, he has won many races we will be learning about three different topics like things he did other than his career, racing and acting now let's start this presentation.

J.N Roberts, his real name is James's nelson Roberts he was born in 1942 in Evansville, Indiana then he moved to southern California in the 1960s after serving in the United States marine corps.

Now we will talk about his racing career, when J.N Roberts was racing he would put on knee and shoulder pads a helmet with a face guard he also won the baja 1000 the baja 1000 is an annual race in Mexico with trophy trucks, dirt bikes, truggys, side by sides, baja bugs and buggies Mexican people used to set traps for the dirt bikers and some people died.

The Pele

by Gunnar

Brazilian people don’t really hear about Messi and Ronaldo. I had died at the age of 82 on DEC 29, 2022. I was happy when I won my fourth World Cup. I was sad that I couldn’t play for some of the teams I wanted to play for because of the color of my skin. I had broken the skin color barrier so that other black players nowadays, people can play soccer for any team.

The Brazilian people call me one of the best in of the world. Some people have heard of Messi and Ranaldo, but they still like me more than them.

How did  pele die good answer he die on dec.2022 he was 82 when he died amen to pele he was one of the best in the world and that was scary for his kids super scary. He was my most. Cool player I had ever seen in my life I did go to Brazil. One time but no more because we almost got robbed

Phil Knight

By Charlie

You know how you have to take out the trash and you just do it?  Well do you?  Well that's Nike for you.  part of their biggest campaign ever "Just do it." so tell me is Nike better than Adidas?  I would say the big N is better - because I am the founder, Phil Knight.

I was determined to be the best at a very young age.  I am a very competitive person and I am not embarrassed to say that because that only makes you better.  At a young age I always liked to run but I never thought it was going to be part of my life.  Fast forward, I'm at the University of Oregon, I had a scholarship for being a track and field athlete, and I was going to go to the Olympics but I decided to not and go back to partner up with my former track and field coach.  We started Blue Ribbon Sports and we were selling shoes out of a van.  Our first shoe was the Moon Shoe.  It was a normal shoe on top but the soles were very futuristic-looking I guess.  The soles were made from a waffle iron and it started from there.

Now, it took us a long time but we were finally sort of popular.  I branched off into Nike, with Swoosh Inc. And that is where my career absolutely skyrocketed.  The first sign we were going to do with the NBA was for three players.  Once of my employees-slash-very good friends of mine was thinking we should only sign one player and that was Michael Jordan.  I was hesitant at first but I slowly realized that this was an extraordinarily awesomely amazingly good idea.  I mean, I am talking Albert Einstein level.  Jordan made my company billions, and we made him billions.

Fast forward even more and Nike has blown up in every single continent except Antarctica.  Well, actually, scratch that.  Scientists in Antarctica have probably worn Nike.  At least I hope so.  I am 85 now and everyone has all of my shoes going everywhere every time any way.  Now, personally, my favorite Nikes are (disclaimer, you may not know all of these so don't feel bad) the Ben & Jerry's Dunks, the Dior high-tops, the Moneybag Dunks, Supreme Air Force Ones, and that's just a few.  Over my career, I did a lot of work with the Mak-a-Wish Foundation and donated a lot of money to charity.  I only donated $5 Million, but you only need $5 million to make about one million people happy.  Today Nike has more brand deals and shoes and charity work and branches of products just waiting to happen.

Last but not least, I have had a good life doing what I love.

Sir Lewis Hamilton

By Bricean

In this biography you will learn three things about Lewis Hamilton: his childhood, what he does for charity, and his activism. Lewis Hamilton does a lot of things to help people and I think he is really cool. I like Lewis Hamilton because he is a F1 driver and he’s the best driver so far because he has the most F1 wins in the world, and he has a good team. Also, Lewis is the first black person to drive in F1 and he works to break down barriers for other people of color. I hope you learn a lot about Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton got a remote-control car when he was five from his dad. When Lewis was six, he won the adult remote-controlled car national championship. For the next Christmas Lewis got a go-kart. When he got into go-kart racing, he was the only black go-kart racer. He sometimes got bulled because he was black but, Lewis ignored the bulling and let his results speak for him. All of Lewis’s dad’s money went to the go-kart, but it paid off when Lewis won the British kart championship. Three years later Lewis got his spot on the McLaren racing team and he was the youngest driver on the team (Sanchez Vegara 2023).

For his debut as a formula one driver Lewis wore a bright yellow helmet to honor his hero, Ayrton Senna. Senna wanted to stand out from the other drivers that were wearing white helmets, and he did that by wearing a yellow helmet (Petrany 2019). Ayrton Senna inspired Lewis to wear more then one helmet and Lewis now wears a lot of helmets that inspire people. For his rookie season Lewis won second in the world drivers’ championship. He raced for McLaren for five years and then he joined the Mercedes-Benz team, the silver arrows. Lewis has then gone on to win seven world titles with Mercedes-Benz including becoming the first black driver to top the formula one rankings. Lewis is the youngest champion ever (Sanchez Vegara 2023).

Lewis uses his fame and speaks publicly about environmental concerns, racism, LGBTQ+ rights and he works to break down barriers in motorsports. Lewis switched to a plant-based diet (livekindly.com 2023), and he invested in an electric off road racing series to raise awareness for environmental issues. In Lewis’s household he does not want people to buy plastic and he wants everything to be recyclable. Lewis is making changes and he’s encouraging people around him to do the same thing to save the planet (Katwala 2021).

Lewis has also set up research to examine the structural reasons for black underrepresentation in motorsports (Heath 2022). Lewis hopes that other black people will someday become engineers, car mechanics, or drivers (Katwala 2021). Sometimes Lewis features the prominent pride flag on the top of his helmet. Lewis has been very vocal about human rights issues (espn.com 2021). F1 has a bigger audience than ever before so Lewis can make a point to more people (Edmondson 2021).

Winning race after race and title after title, Lewis broke the record for the most formula one triumphs and is considered the best F1 driver in the world. After his seventh world championship, he was knighted, Sir Lewis Hamilton (Sanchez Vegara 2023)! Lewis has a lot of money and a big platform. Lewis is trying to change the world, and his wealth and fame allow him to teach people about stuff that they don’t know. This helps people be more aware and make better choices about the environment and social issues. Lewis is a good person, and we need to help him change the world.

I hope you learned a lot about Lewis Hamilton!

J.l Gibson

By: Declyn

Gibson was a Canadian dentist and the person who formed a league of hockey, but we today call it the NHL,the National Hockey League. There were only 4 teams at the time. One of them was the Toronto maple Leafs, one of the first hockey teams ever to be founded. They did not have the Stanley cup yet. They also did not wear helmets. All they had was their heads so if you fell, your head could get cracked open. The goalies had plastic face masks so if you got hit in the face the mask could crack.

Canada is like the hockey world. It was where it originated, and it is cold there so you can play pond Hockey. There is only one pro hockey team and that is the Calgary Flames. So, in conclusion, Hockey is super old, historic, very rough, and athletic. You should learn more about hockey, because it is super interesting, like how they make the jerseys, or the skates.

Kurt Warner

By Adam
My report is on Kurt Warner. This report covers his early life, the charity he founded, and his exceptional football career.

Kurt Warner was born in Burlington, Iowa on June 22, 1971. When Kurt was only four years old, his dad left him and his mom. He played football in high school and later played in college. He attended the University of Northern Iowa.

Kurt Warner also founded an amazing charity. Kurt's charity is called First Things First, which stands for family and faith. He raised more than 4 million dollars for sick kids that have no money. He also brought kids to Disneyland who were sick.

Kurt Warner's career started in 1995 when he worked at a grocery store stocking shelfs. Just 4 years later, in 1999, he was the starting Quarterback for the St. Louis Rams. His team beat the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl 34. He was also named the Most Valuable Player in that game.

In conclusion, Kurt Warner is one of my favorite people because he raised money for kids and played a lot of football.

Florence Griffith Joyner

By: Ava Jane

Today I will be talking about the life of Florence Griffith Joyner. Florence was an Olympic metal racer! Florence married Al Joyner, the Olympic triple jump champion of 1984, in 1987. She raced most of her life. Florence started racing at age seven. People called her Flo Joe. Florence’s famous outfit is a shimmery purple outfit, with one leg bare and one leg with it on. Florence always had decretive long nails!!

First I will talk about her Career. Florence was an American track and field athlete! Bob Kersee found her working as a bank teller in 1979 and convinced her to train with him at the University of California, Los Angeles. (UCLA). Florence began competitive sprinting at age seven. She chased Jack rabbits for most of the day! Flo Joe continued to work with Bob Kersee, her sprinting coach. Al Joyner is Bobs sprinting name. After breaking her high school records, Florence gave up racing to make money for her family, at age 19.

Second, I am going to talk about her family, and childhood. Florence was born in a big family, and she was the 7th of 11 kids! Flo Joe was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1959. In 1987 Florence married Al Joyner, the Olympic triple jump champion of 1984! She married her sprinting coach, Bob Kersee!

Last I will be talking about Flo Joe’s birth and death. Flo Joe was born December 21st, 1929, and died September 21st, 1989. As you all know, she was born in Los Angeles, California, and died in Los Angeles. Florence died at the age of 38, by a seizure in her sleep!

To wrap all of this presentation up, I am going to talk about my thoughts about Flo Joe. I really liked how brave she was. I love that she started racing at age 7, and she was still doing it at 38! It is so caring that she put her family before herself, at age 19 to make money! That is the end of my Florence Griffith Biography Bistro research project.

In this presentation I am going to tell you all about the famous Jackie Robinson, most of you probably know about how he is a very good baseball player, but that is not the only reason he is so well known today, he was also a person that inspired lots of black people all over the world to do things that they did not think could be done. I hope you enjoy this presentation on Jackie Robinson.

First, I am going to tell you about Jackie Robinsons birth and childhood. Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, in Cario Georgia. Jackie was the youngest of 5 siblings he had 3 brothers and two sisters his brothers were Mack, Edgar and frank and his sisters were Willa, and Mae. He moved to California and was not liked by the Neibers because he was black, eventually they excepted him and his family as part of the Neiborhood, he went to school and was good at all sports.

Second, I will tell you about Jackie Robinsons career. One thing most people don’t know about Jackie is he was a solder he was drafted for war and was a second lieutenant. One good thing about the war was one of his fellow soldiers told him about a Negro baseball league that payed well after the war he went to play there. One day in the league Branch Rickey the dodger's manager said he wanted to draft Jackie for a new negro league it turned out Branch Ricky wanted to draft him for the dodgers knowing people would be mad he put Jackie in little league first and if Jackie was good enough, he could play on the dodgers. Eventually he made it on the dodgers people were very mad about this they did all sorts a mean things but if Jackie talked back, it would look bad for all black people, he was number 42.

Lastly, I will tell you about Jackie's death and accomplishments. Accomplishments: Jackie Robinson had many accomplishments first of all he was the first black major league player second, he was the first black baseball player to make it to the hall of fame he also inspired people all around the world to try to accomplish their goals. Jerry Kramer

by Wyatt

Hi I’m a retired Green Bay Packer, sports commentator and author from Jordan Montana. I was born January 23,1936. I have an 11-year National Football League career with the Green Bay Packers as an offensive lineman.  I won 2 Super Bowl championships(Superbowl 1 & 2) and 3 pro bowl championships. I played in 130 games before I retired as a football player. I was inducted into the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame in 1977.  I was an integral part of the famous "Packer Sweep", a signature play in which both guards rapidly pull out from their normal positions and lead block for the running back going around the end. Charlotte Dujardin

By: Ava
Charlotte Dujardin is an Olympic medalist in the sport of dressage. Dressage is a French term for training. Dressage is an art of riding in a highly skilled manner of obedience, flexibility and balance. Any horse can compete in the dressage riding arena, but a warmblood is the most popular choice in dressage. warmblood is a crossbreeding between an Arabian and a Thoroughbred horse.
Charlotte Dujardin had a great life when she was young, and you are probably wondering why and what. I am going to tell you about her early life! Charlotte Dujardin is 34 years old and was born on July 13th, 1985. She was born in the United Kingdom. Charlotte started riding at two and was a very good riderbut because of age limits Charlotte could not enter horse shows until she was years old. When Charlotte turned three, she entered her first Pony Club show jumping competition and won second place. When Charlotte was younger, she was diagnosed with dyslexia which means there is difficulty in learning and reading and interpreting words.

Now I am going to tell you a bit about Charlotte Dujardin's experience with competitions and what she has won in her life! Charlotte is a very successful dressage rider and trainer. Charlotte has placed 1st place 12 times in International Championships. International events are events that bring competitors together from all over the world.   Olympic games, European Championship and World Cups are examples of International Championships where dressage riders compete. Charlotte Dujardin rides and trains on her trusty horse named Valegro. Sadly, Valegro retired on December 14, 2016.

Here we are towards the end of the fun, so I figured maybe save some of the fun for last! Let's jump right into some fun facts about Charlotte! Charlotte Dujardin is also a trainer and not just a rider who rides in the Olympics. One thing I like about Charlotte Dujardin is that she is not just a rider and trainer, but Charlotte is also a writer. Charlotte Dujardin wrote a book called Girl on a Dancing Horse and it is all about her when she was younger and about how she grew up to be who she is now. A funny thing about Charlotte Dujardin is that she was a little troublemaker when she was younger!

In conclusion Charlotte is the best female dressage rider in the world and has the highest score in freestyle dressage in the history of the dressage sport. She has been working on dressage since she was 13 years old. She has worked very hard to accomplish these goals and if you want to accomplish something so bad, you need to go for it.
