Issac Newton

By Eli

Issac Newton is an important person that revolutionized science forever and is somehow both underrated and overrated.

The man, the myth, the legend Issac newton was born at 1642 and died in 1727, if you werent fast enough, he lived 84 years. A funny thing is, Issac was born on the exact same year the famous astronomer Galileo Galilei died. Issac newton’s mother was a doctor, so he had medical knowledge from a noticeably young age, however, I am unsure if this meant much of anything to his later life. Also, he built a sundial from scratch when he was nine.

Enough about when he was a kid, let us talk about Issac when he was an adult! Issac figured out how and what gravity is, created calculus, and discovered the technicalities of light and colors, and in only 18 months! Issac created the book PhilosophiƦ Naturalis Principia Mathematica; a book about physics and philosophy, at 44 years old. Another funny thing about him is, he thought the world would end, but in a much later than you’d expect; 2060 was the date pridicted. Out of his 84 years of life, 30 of them were spent studying alchemy, which is the process of turning metals into gold. Issac thought that the wind wasunreliable,” so he made a mouse-powered windmill, and a farmer even tested it for him with corn.

Lastly, here are just some rapid-fire facts about Issac. Albert einstein said that his achievements could've not been done without is discoveries. Just like albert, Issac newton has a special equation he made, f=ma, means mass, in kilograms, times acceleration in meters a second, is the force in the inch-pound system. In April of 1705, Issac was knighted by queen Anne, but just because they were desperate for more.

In conclusion, Issac was and is a cool and important person that started the modern revolution 200 years before it was even a thing. Also eat apples.

Albert Einstein

By Eli

Today, I am going to talk about Albert Einstein, who was a Jewish theoretical physicist and had an interesting life. Albert Einstein was brought into this world on April 14, 1879, in Germany. He had a little siter named Maja and was quite mean to her sometimes. Einstein was the only Jewish person in his school and eventually dropped out of high school. To entertain himself as a child, Albert would build card houses, some of which were fourteen stories high! He played the violin at home, and he enjoyed Mozart's music. He flunked physics in college. When he died, his brain and eyeballs were preserved. Lastly, the first female dentist had the same birthday as Albert. One of Albert's most famous equations is e = mc2, and a lot of people do not actually know what it means. It means, energy is mass times the speed of light squared. So, in conclusion, Albert is a cool person. You should always be learning so you can grow up to be as smart as him, well, almost as smart as him.

 By Eli R.

In this presentation I am going to tell you all about the famous Jackie Robinson, most of you probably know about how he is a very good baseball player, but that is not the only reason he is so well known today, he was also a person that inspired lots of black people all over the world to do things that they did not think could be done. I hope you enjoy this presentation on Jackie Robinson.

First, I am going to tell you about Jackie Robinsons birth and childhood. Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, in Cario Georgia. Jackie was the youngest of 5 siblings he had 3 brothers and two sisters his brothers were Mack, Edgar and frank and his sisters were Willa, and Mae. He moved to California and was not liked by the Neibers because he was black, eventually they excepted him and his family as part of the Neiborhood, he went to school and was good at all sports.

Second, I will tell you about Jackie Robinsons career. One thing most people don’t know about Jackie is he was a solder he was drafted for war and was a second lieutenant. One good thing about the war was one of his fellow soldiers told him about a Negro baseball league that payed well after the war he went to play there. One day in the league Branch Rickey the dodger's manager said he wanted to draft Jackie for a new negro league it turned out Branch Ricky wanted to draft him for the dodgers knowing people would be mad he put Jackie in little league first and if Jackie was good enough, he could play on the dodgers. Eventually he made it on the dodgers people were very mad about this they did all sorts a mean things but if Jackie talked back, it would look bad for all black people, he was number 42.

Lastly, I will tell you about Jackie's death and accomplishments. Accomplishments: Jackie Robinson had many accomplishments first of all he was the first black major league player second, he was the first black baseball player to make it to the hall of fame he also inspired people all around the world to try to accomplish their goals. Jackie died at age 53 in a Stanford hospital, he had a heart attack.

Conclusion

In conclusion I hope you learned something from this presentation, I definitely did I chose Jackie Robinson because he was someone to follow for many black people around the world.

George Washington

By Eli

Growing up
George Washington was born on February 22, 1732, in the colony of Virginia. He was very athletic and loved riding horses and later was known as the best horseman in Virginia.
George was good at math but was never good at spelling it embarrassed him all his life

Mount Vernon
He wasn’t close to his mother; she was very mean and bossy. When he was eleven his father died so he moved in with his half-brother Lawrence.
At one-point George's half-brother Lawrence died in militia Goerge replaced him

Country life
After the French and Indian war which didn’t go so well Goerge went back to mount Vernon and married Martha custus at one-point George and Martha owned as many as 300 slaves, later in life he realized slavery was wrong.
In his farming life George stopped growing tobacco and switched to wheat because it was easier to grow, when the English taxed the tea George switched to coffee.

Commanding general
Later George was a general in the military during the revolutionary war the conditions were so bad more people died from smallpox than battle wounds. After George won the war, he was going to go back to be a farmer.
Because of his fame in war George won both elections for president both times John Adams got in second both times as president he set the example of only serving 2 terms, he made sure he didn’t get to powerful.

George Washington was very important in history without him we wouldn’t have had a president till a lot longer.
