The inventor of Basketball by Darwin
I researched James Naismith for my biography bistro, and I'll show you what I learned, the first was why he made it then the second I tell you about his religion and the rules of basketball, the third which is his coaching career, and the last was his family.
First, I will talk about his religion, James Naismith was a coach at a YMCA December 1986 when he made basketball, he wanted a sport to play indoors in the winter, he was a muscular Cristian meaning they believed that the balance of physical Vigar, manliness, and Cristan faith.
Second is the rules of basketball, By his religion he didn't like the winter because there wasn't anything to do, so he made basketball, The rules where that you can't push, shove, and no running with the ball but you couldn't dribble yet to score you need to shoot in a basket tethered to the railing of the gym which was 10 feet high of the ground.
Next I will talk about his coaching career, the basket wasn't a peach basket but an apple instead, when basketball started to catch on he was the only coach at Kansas to have a losing record of 55 to 60, He used a soccer ball for the ball then changed in 1894 to a basketball, basketball was played in the Olympics
Lastly I will tell you about his family He was married twice his first wife was Maude Evelyn Sherman, they married in 1894 she had 5 children then she died in 1937, two years later he married Florence B. kiwaid the same year he died from a cerebral hemorrhage, months away for it becoming an Olympic event.
