Alexander Hamilton

By Lila B.

Hamilton was an interesting man who did many things. He authored the federal papers, and he joined the revolutionary war. And if your like “Alex who?” you’re in luck because I can tell you! First, his family, from when he was born to when his cousin committed suicide. Historians still are not sure if Hamiliton was born in 1755 or 1757, though the most reasonable is 1755. His mother was listed white on tax rolls, but she may have been mixed race and colored. His father left and his mother died of yellow fever leaving him orphaned. He moved in with his cousin, but his cousin committed suicide. He got an education and joined the revolution he was Washington's right-hand man in the war, he was a great lieutenant. He once led a successful raid of the British cannons in the battery. He lived a short life dying at 42 years old. Aron burr killed him in a duel at the exact same place his son died four years later.

In conclusion Alexander Hamilton is a fascinating man and I got inspiration from the Hamiliton play.
