Abe Lincoln is a very interesting man he believed that every person should be treated the same. You might be thinking what that’s not different but that was very rare back then. Some people did not like slavery. but they still did not think of slaves as equal's. that was one of the reasons for the civil war for example one of his general's. made a mistake which might of have coast the entire war. Instead of writing a mean note. he wrote a nice note to him saying how he knew that the general was under a lot of pressure and Abe also said that he couldn't have done any better in his position. and That is just one of the many great things Abe Lincoln did.
When Abe was a kid he was very smart. He lived in a log cabin when he was growing up his mother died when Abe was young from milk poisoning. Even as a child Abe knew that slavery was wrong. Later, on Abe became a lawyer then mayor then president of the united states. Abe being elected for president caused the south to succeed from the union. Abe was the first republican president ever. He was probably the best president in the U.S.
The reason the clival war started is because Abe Lincoln said that the south succeeding was illegal that's and started the civil war. Later, on Lincoln changed the cause of the war to stop slavery. The war lasted 4 years. The war was very bloody.
Abe Lincoln had a wife and three children only the oldest survived. when he was killed he when watching a play when he was shot and killed. He sadly was killed right before the war ended. He was killed by a man named John Both. He lived a good life, but he could have lived longer.
Abe Lincoln was truly a great man. Not only did he stop slavery. but he was just nice to everyone He had lots of respect and bravery. I think that he was the best president ever. He has lots of good attributes I could go on and on about him.
